who are we
We are the “Living Hope” charitable foundation, which was founded by Alla Gaponenko in 1999. And our main message is that there is hope! Today, these two words are so necessary for millions of our compatriots.
During the 24 years of our organization’s work, we were able to give hope for a better “tomorrow” to hundreds of families in crisis, orphans, and other vulnerable segments of the population.
After the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the foundation began to help our armed forces, the civilian population of the frontline and de-occupied territories, social institutions and non-profit organizations, such as animal shelters, Christian communities near the contact line, etc.
Our task is not just to transfer humanitarian or material aid, but also to support people spiritually. We try to bring them hope for a better today and a better future. Therefore, we also cooperate with chaplains and Christian churches.
Currently, “Living Hope” consists of volunteers, partners and friends of the foundation from different parts of the world. And we all work together for the sake of victory, for the sake of our people, for the sake of future generations.

Since the first day of the foundation’s existence, our vocation has been to help children.
First, we created a project of health camps for children who suffered from the accident at the Chornobyl NPP.
We also managed to help children from low-income families.
For more than 20 years, this project has made it possible to influence the lives and health of thousands of children and convey to them the values and spiritual principles
which we share.

Since 2014, many servicemen have given their lives for our country.
These are those who stood their ground to the last, who courageously defended every meter of our land, who went into battle and did not return from it. All of them have left families. And we want to bring hope to these families.
Therefore, our foundation launched a new project – psychological and spiritual rehabilitation for the wives of fallen soldiers. These are outing retreats in the mountains, weekly meetings, workshops and communication.
We aim to open an interactive space where women could gather at any time.

Our defense forces have accepted the battle.
It would seem that we had little chance to hold out, but the heroism of our nation changed the understanding of the international community about who, in fact, is the second army of the world.
Defenders need to know that we are a reliable rear. And where the state needs a shoulder of support, we will be there.
During the full-scale war, we handed over dozens of cars and first-aid kits, hundreds of tourniquets and medicines, thousands of packages of food and hygiene products, generators and batteries, military equipment and clothes to the front. We believe that only coordinated and united we can defeat this black crowd.

The name of the fund is a model of what we do: we bring hope to Ukrainians every day with our work.
It was in 2000, at the time of its foundation, when the country needed systematic assistance in overcoming the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident, and our foundation assumed the responsibility of organizing health camps for affected children.
Today we are on the front line: we evacuate people from the frontline territories, deliver humanitarian aid, save animals.

From the first day of the war, dozens of people became volunteers and joined the work of the foundation. Everyone shared one vocation and directed all their strength and resources: to help as many Ukrainians as possible. Nations “with a capital letter”. A nation that has become a symbol of hope for the entire free world. We work and help to our victory!
Після початку повномасштабного вторгнення росії в Україну фонд почав допомагати нашим збройним силам, цивільному населенню прифронтових та деокупованих територій, соціальним закладам та неприбутковим організаціям, таким як притулки для тварин, християнські общини близь лінії зіткнення тощо.
Наше завдання не просто передати гуманітарну чи матеріальну допомогу, а й духовно підтримати людей. Ми намагаємось принести їм надію на краще сьогодні і на краще майбутнє. Тому ми співпрацюємо також з капеланами і християнськми церквами.
Нині “Жива Надія” складається з волонтерів, партнерів та друзів фонду з різних куточків світу. І всі ми разом працюємо заради перемоги, заради наших людей, заради прийдешніх поколінь.
